It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I extend a warm welcome to all attendees of the 67th Florida State Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous. This year’s convention promises to be a truly remarkable event, filled with inspiration, fellowship, and opportunities for personal growth. From August 1-4, 2024, we will gather at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in beautiful downtown Jacksonville, Florida, to celebrate the theme of “Be Amazed” and embrace the transformative power of recovery. I am thrilled to serve as the Chair of this convention and look forward to sharing this incredible experience with each and every one of you.
The Florida State Convention is a momentous occasion for individuals in recovery, their families, and supporters. It is a time to reflect on our collective journey, celebrate our successes, and inspire one another to continue on the path of sobriety. The convention provides a nurturing environment where attendees can share their experience, strength, and hope, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment.
Our convention boasts a diverse and engaging program designed to cater to the varied needs and interests of our attendees. From Speaker Meetings with ASL interpretation to workshops, Al-Anon/Alateen Meetings, Young People Meetings, and LGBTQ Meetings, there is a wealth of opportunities for personal reflection, growth, and connection. Additionally, our Archives Exhibit offers a glimpse into the rich history of Alcoholics Anonymous, reminding us of the strength and resilience of those who came before us.
As you immerse yourself in the convention, we are proud to offer Jacksonville’s world-renowned hospitality room to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our local groups pride themselves on making sure that anyone who cannot afford to eat at hotel prices will not go hungry. Many folk have been known to eat three meals a day in our hospitality room.
