Want to Host a Florida State Convention?
Know of a Hotel by you that would be a great place to have a Florida State Convention?
How to bid:
Below are some documents which will allow you to see what is involved.
IMPORTANT is the timeline. You will need to be ready with a proposal (contract) from the Hotel by the January 2 years prior to when you want to have your Convention.
This will be reviewed at the Area Standing Committee either in North Florida Area 14 or South Florida Area 15 at the January Quarterly.
Then once approved by your Area, you can present the Hotel Contract to the JAC (Joint Advisory Committee) in May
Once approved by JAC then the body of the Florida State Convention 2 years prior to your proposed convention will see your 5-minute presentation along with any other bids and vote where the next convention will be held.
Then the fun begins!!!
- Putting together committees and chairs
- having monthly planning meetings
- Setting up budgets
The best part of putting on a Florida State Convention is the 2 years of planning.
We get to enjoy the Fellowship all while doing service!
